Commanded speed values are transmitted over a fiber-optic SERCOS interface, which provides deterministic communication with the master controller and helps reduce susceptibility to electrical noise around high-power spindle equipment. The unit has no additional interface option, and it also omits a secondary encoder input. Because of that layout, spindle-orient or position feedback must be handled through the primary channel only, and the connection scheme remains limited to the required control and power circuits.
