Product Description:

The spindle drive KDA 3.1-150-3-DPD-U1 is manufactured by Bosch as a member of the KDA modular series. It supports digital 16 bits of parallel speed input and position commands. The unit includes an auxiliary encoder input for second feedback to enable accurate spindle and motor position control.

The KDA 3.1-150-3-DPD-U1 drive comes with a removable programming module for storing drive and machine parameters, while this module enables quick replacement without parameter re-entry. It operates with a rated current capability of 150.0 A and continuous current output of 90 A. The drive requires 300 VDC of bus voltage and offers real-time diagnostics. It features forced air cooling through a blower unit, that is mounted externally to the heatsink for cooling and its blower needs 115 V AC to operates at 50/60 Hz frequency. The KDA drive supports motor temperature monitoring via NTC thermistor input and manages feedback through a 15-pin standard connector. It includes a 37-pin CNC interface for control signals and uses a 25-pin connector for digital speed inputs along with position commands. The blower and bus connections are linked through its X13 and X14 ports. It can be vertically mounted inside enclosures through a frame and its grounding bolts are placed at the top of the unit. The KDA drive has a weight 17.40 kg and it measures 390 mm in length.

The KDA 3.1-150-3-DPD-U1 drive operates within a temperature range of 41 to 113 °F and reduced performance is expected up to 131 °F. Its protection category is IP10 and permits installation up to 1000 m without derating. It requires clean air for cooling and filter is advised to be used in the blower system. This KDA drive needs proper grounding for safety.
