Product Description:

The KDA 3.1-150-3-AQI-U1 is a spindle drive that can operate without performance loss at installation altitudes up to 1000 meters above sea level. The Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures this spindle drive.

With a steady-state current capacity of 90 A, this drive provides stable performance and steady output even for long-term industrial spindle applications. This drive uses a DC bus voltage of 300 V and thus is more appropriate for applications with high power density and steady torque output. This spindle drive’s speed command is handled through an analog ±10 V input, providing accurate and responsive spindle speed control. It has an auxiliary encoder input that is compatible with a 1V sinusoidal encoder to give more precise positions. It also has an incremental encoder output for compatibility with external synchronization or monitoring systems. The KDA 3.1-150-3-AQI-U1 spindle drive is provided with a forced air cooling system utilizing a heatsink blower to maintain the best possible temperature in prolonged operation. The blower assembly weighs 4.2 kg, and this blower is driven by an AC source of 115V at 50–60 Hz for continuous cooling performance.

The 150 A of rated current provides this spindle drive with enough power to support high-load tasks while ensuring consistent torque output. Weighing 17.4 kg, this spindle drive provides a rigid and well-balanced design to allow reliable mounting and minimize vibration in control system assemblies. The KDA 3.1-150-3-AQI-U1 spindle drive performs at its best within an accepted ambient temperature of +5°C to +45°C. This drive meets humidity class F as specified in DIN 40040 for reliability in controlled industrial environments. This spindle drive’s protection class is IP10 as specified in DIN 40050, with protection against large object entry.
