The unit converts the regulated DC link supplied by an external power supply into synchronized three-phase output for a motorized spindle while supervising speed and torque. By integrating drive control, power electronics, and dedicated cooling hardware, it allows machine controllers to command precise spindle velocities required in automated production lines.
The drive draws a continuous current of 100 A, giving it the headroom to accelerate large spindle masses without exceeding thermal limits. Internally it is supplied from a bus voltage of 300 VDC, so component spacing and insulation are designed for that potential. Cooling is active; the electronics are kept within operating limits by forced cooling, which channels air through the power stack and heat sink.
