KDA 3.1-050-3-LQI-U1 is a modular spindle drive. It is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for control and monitoring of its 1MB and 2AD industrial motors. It is a drive with a blower for forced air cooling. This blower is mounted on the drive’s heat sink. While the drive is mounted inside an enclosure, the heat sink is located outside the enclosure. This ensures that the enclosure remains cool. For optimal performance, the ambient temperature in the vicinity of the drive should be less than 45 degrees Celsius. This is necessary for rated drive output. The manufacturer does permit drive operation between 45 and 55 degrees, but in this temperature range the drive output derates below nominal values. Blowers rated for 110 Volts or 220 Volts AC input are available. The blower on this drive is rated for 110 Volts.
