Product Description:

KDA 3.1-050-3-LQD-W1 is a Bosch Rexroth spindle drive. It is optimized for control of servo motors from the 1MB and 2AD product lines. The drive has a modular design with two auxiliary encoder interfaces that operators can select for their applications. KDA drives are surface cooled units, with a blower mounted on the heat sink for improved heat dissipation. The cooling mechanism is designed to prevent release of hot air inside the drive enclosure. This is achieved by mounting the heat sink outside the enclosure. In this way, the hot air is blown away outside the drive enclosure. This cooling mechanism prevents heat build-up inside the enclosure. It is a critical measure that ensures the ambient temperature in the vicinity of the operating drive remains between 5 and 45 degrees Celsius.

The output of KDA drives derates if the temperature rises above 45 degrees. However, Bosch does permit drive operation at ambient temperatures reaching 55 degrees. Use of KDA drives at ambient temperatures above 55 degrees is not permitted. The maximum site elevation at which the drive can operate with rated output is 1000 meters. Rated output of the KDA 3.1-050-3-LQD-W1 drive is 50 Amps>. and the its continuous output is 35 Amps.
