Product Description:

The KDA 3.1-050-3-D00-U1 is a well-constructed AC servo drive, proven to have seamless compatibility with Rexroth Bosch’s asynchronous AC machines. With its powerful and efficient forced-air cooling system, this AC servo drive can handle an ambient temperature range of 5 to 45 degrees Celsius. For a brief amount of time, however, this AC module can run at a peak ambient temperature of 55 degrees Celsius. Like other AC spindle drives by Bosch, this module must be connected to a compatible KDV power supply, which will provide the stable DC bus voltage. Once connected to the DC bus voltage, this drive can provide a stable 3-phase power to the connected servo motor.

To operate properly, the KDA 3.1-050-3-D00-U1 must be connected to a compatible computer drive module, which will provide the necessary command signals to control the motor. As an AC drive module, the KDA 3.1-050-3-D00-U1 acts as a buffer for monitoring the state of the motor during operation. Like all other servo drives, this product relies on the motor’s built-in encoder to identify important shaft parameters such as position and speed. Specifically, this device uses a digital 16-bit parallel speed command for communicating with the servo feedback encoder.

Instead of a traditional 220 V supply source, the KDA 3.1-050-3-D00-U1 utilizes a 115 VAC source for powering its heatsink blower. The AC supply for the blower can operate within a system frequency of 50 to 60 Hz. As part of the KDA series, the KDA 3.1-050-3-D00-U1 performs best for applications incorporating a Bosch motor with a rated current of up to 50 A. For continuous operation modes, however, the recommended current must be at most 35 A to prevent overcurrent conditions.
