Bosch Rexroth Indramat produces the KDA 2.1-150-3-LP0-W1, a spindle drive in the KDA Spindle Drives series. The 2.1 designation indicates the second generation and revision 1 within this product line. Designed for rack mounting beside supply modules and CNC controllers, the unit conditions DC-bus energy and delivers three-phase output for high-speed machining spindles. It is used in machine tools where the spindle must accelerate quickly, hold commanded speed through changing loads, and decelerate in a controlled manner. By combining current control with encoder feedback, it maintains commanded surface speeds during drilling, milling, and similar automated cutting operations.
