It converts a fixed DC bus into variable three-phase power so that high-speed machine tool spindles can accelerate, decelerate, and hold constant velocity under load. By combining integrated power electronics with closed-loop feedback inputs, the product allows precise speed regulation in automated milling, drilling, and grinding cells where surface finish and cycle time depend on exact spindle motion.
Its power section accepts a DC bus of 300 VDC, enabling the inverter stage to deliver up to 150 A of continuous output current to the spindle motor. Speed references arrive as digital 16-bit parallel words, allowing the numerical control to assign exact target values without analog drift.
