As a spindle drive, it supplies controlled three-phase power to high-speed motorized spindles used in machining centers and similar automation platforms. A mounted heat sink blower is integrated for temperature control, and the product accepts the 300 VDC link voltage delivered by compatible Indramat power supplies while forwarding real-time feedback from one or two position encoders to the machine controller.
The drive draws its main bus from 300 VDC and can deliver up to 150 A of continuous motor current so that large spindle motors can accelerate quickly to their programmed velocity.
