Product Description:

The KDA 2.1-150-3-DQ0-U1 is an accurate and efficient asynchronous servo drive designed by Rexroth Bosch for AC spindle motors and applications. As a compact servo drive, this unit boasts a built-in cooling system that facilitates surface ventilation during operation. Like other drive units by Bosch, the blower fan for this drive must be connected to a nominal AC mains voltage with a value of either 115 or 220 V. During operation, this asynchronous drive can detect fault conditions such as overtemperature and overload. Whenever this happens, the CDM sends the necessary signals to adjust the output of the motor accordingly.

To function normally, the KDA 2.1-150-3-DQ0-U1 requires a stable voltage supply. For most of Rexroth Bosch’s asynchronous drives under the KDA series, the voltage supply comes from a KDV power module. To process the input and output signals that interface between the drive and the motor, another electrical module, called the CDM, must be used. Similar to other KDA modules, this product can define three ramp rates for motor acceleration or deceleration. Specifically, the ramp rate for this asynchronous drive can be configured to have a value between 1 and 999 rad/s^2. This module can also define the maximum and minimum rpm range of the motor.

Depending on the intended application, the KDA 2.1-150-3-DQ0-U1 can be used for relatively large motors such as Rexroth’s 2AD motors. At most, however, this servo machine can only accommodate a motor with a nominal current rating of 150 A. Similar to other electrical modules designed by Bosch Indramat, this drive can withstand a permissible ambient range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. Wake Industrial offers an item warranty alongside the KDA 2.1-150-3-DQ0-U1.
