The KDA 2.1-150-3-DPS-U1 spindle drive is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the KDA Spindle Drives series. The product is series 2 and regulates torque and speed of machine-tool spindles through closed-loop current control, serving as the power stage between a DC bus and a high-speed motor in automated machining cells. It plugs into a modular drive rack and interfaces with Indramat supply and controller cards through standardized back-plane connectors. This layout lets the drive operate as part of a coordinated spindle system inside a larger machine platform. Because the unit works from the shared rack infrastructure, it can also be paired with other drive modules used on the same machine.
The drive delivers 150 A of continuous current, so large spindles can be powered without external boosters.
