The built-in heatsink at the back of the unit gets rid of most of the heat it generates by sending it outside the control enclosure. This keeps the inside cabinet temperatures at their best. The drive works well in temperatures between +5°C and +45°C, and it maintains its best performance up to +55°C. All of the KDA series' feedback and NC connection interfaces have the same pin assignments and signal levels. This makes installation easier and makes sure that the KDA series works with a wide variety of motors and control systems.

To keep the electricity safe, each drive in a multi-drive setup has to be grounded separately to the supply module using a ground conductor that is at least 10 mm² in cross-section. The user terminal has a built-in keypad that makes it easy to enter and change parameters. This is done using standard protocols that Indramat has established.
