The KDA 2.1-150-3-AP0-W1 is a spindle drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the KDA Spindle Drives series. It regulates the torque and speed of machine-tool spindles, translating motion commands from a CNC controller into precisely timed current pulses for the connected motor. With its own heat sink blower and field-oriented control circuitry, the unit serves as the power stage between the DC bus of an Indramat supply module and the position feedback from the spindle encoder. This arrangement supports controlled acceleration, steady running speed, and accurate spindle response during milling, drilling, and other machining processes.
