Product Description:

The KDA 2.1-100-3-DQI-W1 is an advanced spindle drive. Its main application is control of industrial motors. KDA series units from Bosch Rexroth work with 1MB and 2AD motors. These are servo motors with integrated feedback sensors. KDA drives, therefore, do support encoder input via add-on modules. Multiple KDA drives can draw power from a single KDV power supply unit that is installed in the same enclosure. Each KDA drive can control a single axis, and multiple co-located units allow for a powerful multi-axis control solution. A major design feature of these drives is heat dissipation outside the enclosure. These drives are equipped with a heat sink that increases the area of the effective cooling surface. Additionally, a blower is mounted below the heat sink and this blower forces cool air through the heat sink to dissipate heat at a rapid rate.

Blowers on KDA units can work with 115 or 220 Volts AC. The blower installed on this drive is rated for 220 Volts. KDA drive units have housings with IP10 ingress protection rating. This type of housing can provide protection from solid objects with dimensions on the order of 50 millimeters. As the drives are not safe from dust or liquids, they must be mounted inside a fully-sealed enclosure that complies with DIN 40 050. Output rating of the KDA 2.1-100-3-DQI-W1 drive is 100 Amps. It is equipped with a module that accepts 16-bit parallel speed commands, a module for sinusoidal encoder input, and a module for incremental encoder output. Weight of the KDA 2.1-100-3-DQI-W1 drive is 17.1 kilograms. The drive requires professional handling, especially when connections to the high voltage power terminals are made.
