Product Description:

The KDA 2.1-100-3-DQI-U1 is a KDA series main spindle drive. It works only with Bosch Rexroth industrial motors from the 2AD and 1MB product lines. The modular design is a major feature of this type of drive, which when coupled with a programing module, allows fast commissioning, rapid troubleshooting, and re-configuration in the field. Each KDA drive has one slot for a removable programing module and three slots for additional feature modules. The programming module stores drive firmware and operating parameters. After a drive is fully configured, its programming module can be removed and it content replicated on any number of programming modules. These can then be installed on similar drives to speed up installation and commissioning. The remaining three slots can accept a speed command module, an encoder input module, and an auxiliary interface.

Options for speed command include analog, SERCOS, and parallel. Options for encoder input include 1 Volt sinusoidal, spindle feedback, and synchronous input. Options for auxiliary interface include serial, encoder output, and parallel. The options installed on the KDA 2.1-100-3-DQI-U1 controller include 16-bit parallel for speed command, 1 Volt sinusoidal for encoder input, and incremental encoder output. Technical data for the KDA 2.1-100-3-DQI-U1 controller includes 300 Volts DC bus voltage, 100 Amps rated output, and 115 Volts AC input for the blower. Protection class of the controller housing is IP10, which makes it suitable for use in indoor enclosures. The ambient temperature range for nominal data output is 5 to 45 ⁰C. The temperature range for operation with reduced nominal data is 45 to 55 ⁰C. Bosch has specified -30 to 85 ⁰C ambient temperature for storage and transport of the unit.
