The KDA 2.1-100-3-D0D-W1 spindle axis drive is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the KDA Spindle Drives series. It serves as the power and control interface between the CNC controller and a motorized spindle, converting DC bus energy into adjustable three-phase output so that cutting, grinding, or boring machines can match spindle speed to process requirements. The module mounts in the Indramat drive rack and shares the common DC link with adjacent axis converters inside the electrical cabinet. Its rack-mounted format suits machine tools that group spindle and feed axes on a shared power platform.
The drive operates from a stabilized link of 300 VDC and can furnish up to 100 A of motor current, supporting rapid spindle acceleration and braking.
