Product Description:

The KDA 2.1-050-3-DYI-W1 is an excellently made AC spindle drive module by Rexroth Indramat Bosch under the KDA product series. Intentionally made to control AC servo motors by Bosch, this electrical module operates seamlessly with KDV power modules and CDM devices. During operation, this device utilizes a forced-air cooling system and draws power from a DC bus with a terminal voltage of 300 VDC. For Rexroth’s KDA drives, the bus voltage is typically supplied by the KDV bus module. At rated operating conditions, this module is responsible for converting the DC bus power into a rotating three-phase output to get the motor running.

Based on the KDA 2.1-050-3-DYI-W1’s nameplate, the rated current of the drive is around 50 A. Assuming the rated DC bus voltage, the rated power of the drive in normal operation is around 15 kW. Like other KDA drive modules by Rexroth, the KDA 2.1-050-3-DYI-W1 is equipped with a digital speed controller with an incremental encoder interface. The incremental encoder interface provides the physical link between the drive and the motor for monitoring and control purposes.
