Product Description:

The KDA 2.1-050-3-AYD-W1 drive is produced by Indramat as the second generation of KDA series of control drives. It supports vertical position of mounting and has to be grounded with the given studs. This drive has a rated current value of 50 A and it requires 300 VDC as the bus voltage. The weight of drive is 16.6 kg while the blower alone weighs 4.2 kg and the mounting kit is 1.7 kg.

The KDA 2.1-050-3-AYD-W1 drive features analog ±10 V speed command input and it has a 16-bit parallel position command interface that is digital in nature. The drive accepts auxiliary encoder input to allow sophisticated position and spindle control. It achieves cooling through a heatsink blower by forcing air from one side to another for ventilation. The blower operates on a supply of 220V AC at 50 or 60 Hz frequency. The KDA 2.1 spindle drive is not liquid or dust proof as it comes with IP10 degree of protection and it is designed to be fitted in a control enclosure that is sealed. The operating range of the drive is 5 to 45 °C while it supports functionality with a derated performance in temperature up to +55 °C and it can bear a maximum elevation up to 3300 feet without derating.

The KDA 2.1-050-3-AYD-W1 spindle drive has a programming module for software and parameters storage. It utilizes 1.2 A at 24 V load voltage and with the mounting frame it measures 390 mm in length and 150 mm in width. The KDA 2.1 spindle drive combines speed and high-resolution position control along with analog and digital interfaces to fit in automation systems. It allows 35 A of continuous current at the output.
