The KDA 1.1-150-300W1/220V spindle drive is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the KDA Spindle Drives series. Mounted inside a machine-tool cabinet, it forms the regulated link between a DC supply module and a synchronous or asynchronous spindle motor, delivering three-phase power under current and thermal supervision. This arrangement allows the spindle to respond to command changes with controlled acceleration and stable operation during machining. The unit is intended for duties such as drilling, milling, or grinding, where accurate spindle speed supports consistent process results. That makes the unit suitable for machine tools that need repeatable spindle behavior through changing cutting conditions and frequent speed updates.

With a continuous output of 150 A, the drive supports rapid acceleration on heavy cutting heads. Its power stage draws from a shared bus at 300 VDC, balancing response time and conduction loss. Heat is removed by forced cooling, and the dedicated blower operates from a 220 VAC feed. Speed references arrive as an analog ±10 V signal, permitting straightforward integration with compatible control hardware. The housing is arranged for panel mounting, which supports orderly cable routing and directed airflow inside the cabinet. The drive operates at ambient temperatures from 5 °C to 45 °C, and it has no auxiliary encoder input or auxiliary interface.

The power electronics synchronize to mains at 50/60 Hz, so the same unit can be used in facilities with different grid standards. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level without derating. With a mass of 16 kg, the enclosure remains suitable for cabinet installation while providing a rigid mounting base.
