The IKL0267 control cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the IKL Control Cables series. It serves as a prefabricated link between sensors, valve islands, or distributed I/O blocks and the central drive controller in an automated line. By combining a molded field connector with pre-stripped conductors, the cable provides a ready-to-install path for 24 V power and reference signals, minimizing wiring errors and reducing startup time on the production floor.

The molded connector on the device side conforms to the M12 circular standard, so it mates with common field sensors and actuators used in IP65 applications. The contact insert is female, which helps prevent accidental shorting from exposed pins during handling. A straight housing allows cable routing through cable trays or energy chains without the additional bend radius often needed by angled plugs. Internally, four gold-plated contacts give a rated pin count of 4, providing separate power and logic pairs while keeping the connector compact. Signal performance depends on installation distance, and this assembly is unshielded, which is suitable for 24 V supply lines in cabinets where electromagnetic interference remains low.

The free end of the cable is supplied as an open end, enabling direct termination on screw terminals, spring clamps, or board connectors selected by the machine builder. Electrical polarization is handled through the A-encoded keyway in the M12 shell, ensuring that connectors carrying auxiliary voltages cannot be mated with high-current or Ethernet variants. Among the available lengths, the longest factory option of 15.0 m supports extended runs to remote cylinders or light curtains while keeping voltage drop within 24 V tolerances. The conductor assignments are 1 UL+24V; 2 US GND; 3 UL GND; 4 US+24V, separating sensor and actuator supplies so that control logic is less affected by load current transients.
