The IKL0261 is a control cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the IKL Control Cables series. It is intended for fixed installation between drive controllers and synchronous servo motors in automated machinery. The cable provides power conductors and a protective earth conductor for applications where electromagnetic shielding is not required. Its unshielded design also reduces cable weight and makes the assembly easier to route through stationary machine sections.
The cable has a conductor layout of 4 x 2.5 mm², providing sufficient current capacity for medium-frame motors while keeping voltage drop low over moderate lengths. Its thermoset jacket is made from PUR, a material selected for resistance to abrasion, oil, microbes, grease, and hydrolysis. The surface is orange (RAL 2003) for quick circuit identification in control cabinets. An overall diameter of 10.6 mm allows the cable to fit standard metric gland plates. Fixed installations must maintain a minimum bend radius of 42.4 mm to prevent excessive mechanical stress and conductor fatigue. The polyurethane sheath is halogen-free, which helps limit the corrosivity of combustion gases. It is also silicone-free, reducing the risk of surface contamination in paint shops and other sensitive production areas. Resistance to hydraulic fluids supports use near machinery where coolant or lubricant exposure may occur.
The assembly is based on bulk cable reference INK0343 and is terminated for direct connection between compatible equipment. An AEH connector is installed on the controller side, while an INS0681 plug is installed on the motor side, simplifying field wiring. The maximum permissible conductor temperature is 80 °C during continuous operation under load. The cable is not rated for repeated drag-chain movement and should therefore be secured outside moving cable carriers. Proper clamping helps prevent tensile loads from reaching the connector terminations during machine operation. The fixed-routing requirement also protects the conductors from repeated bending that could shorten their service life. Its material properties make it suitable for stationary routes in washdown areas and coolant-rich production stations where conventional PVC insulation may deteriorate more quickly.
