The IKL0232 control cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the IKL Control Cables series. As a multi-core cable, it routes three-phase power, protective earth, and control signals between drives, sensors, and actuators inside automated machinery. Consolidating these paths reduces panel space and simplifies installation in industrial motion, packaging, and material-handling lines where compact routing, moving axes, and dense cabinet layouts are common.

The cable uses a 3P + PE bundle under a PVC jacket. Each power conductor is 2.5 mm², and the paired control cores are 1.5 mm², which supports auxiliary circuits without making the bundle unnecessarily large. The overall diameter is 17.3 mm, so cable glands and routing space must match that size. In fixed installation, the line can be routed on a minimum bend radius of 120 mm; in dynamic cable-track service, the minimum bend radius increases to 200 mm to reduce stress on the stranded conductors. A non-adhesive outer surface lowers pull friction, the design has no total shield, and the finely stranded wires support repeated flexing on cable chains. The PE conductor uses standard protective-earth color coding for quick identification during termination.

A specific weight of 0.47 kg/m helps with cable-carrier load calculations, and runs up to 75 m are supported without changing the cable type. Mated connectors with IP65 transition protection help block dust and low-pressure water at the housing entry points in washdown or dusty areas. The protective-earth stripe is Yellow/Green, and the jacket compound is halogen-free, silicone-free, and resistant to hydrolysis, oils, and greases for use around washdown conveyors and machining centers. Its non-adhesive surface also helps limit dirt buildup in food-packaging and other cleanliness-sensitive equipment. Because the material contains no halogens, smoke toxicity is reduced if the cable is exposed to fire.
