The IKL0162 is a multi-core control and power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKL Control Cables series. Designed for machine tools and automated assembly stations, the cable routes drive signals and three-phase supply conductors between servo controllers and motors while maintaining electrical separation inside one sheath. Its construction supports coordinated motion control, encoder feedback, and auxiliary power transmission in industrial automation systems where signal integrity and predictable mechanical performance are required.

The cable supports a minimum fixed bend radius of 240 mm, allowing permanent routing in control cabinets without exceeding conductor strain limits. For continuous motion in cable chains, the bend radius increases to 430 mm, which reduces stress during repeated articulation. An external diameter of 30.5 mm affects channel width and heat dissipation when bundled with other lines. High-power conductors sized at 25.0 mm² accommodate inverter currents, while an overall mass of 1.70 kg/m must be considered in carrier load calculations. The cable is built in the Standard flex class, contains no overall shield, and uses a terminal strip clamp connection for straightforward wiring. A separate control bundle with 1.5 mm² wires carries feedback or brake signals independently of the power cores. Maximum recommended length is 75 m to keep voltage drop and signal timing within drive tolerances. The over-molded transition fitting achieves IP65 ingress protection at the housing interface, shielding the cores from dust and low-pressure water jets. That sealed transition also helps protect the conductors where motion and vibration are concentrated near the connection point.
