The HZF02.1-W025N filter module is part of the HZF Filter Modules series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Designed for use on the DC-bus side of Indramat inverter systems, the device blocks high-frequency noise generated by PWM switching while still allowing rated power to pass to the drives. Within an automation enclosure, it improves electromagnetic compatibility and helps protect nearby control equipment from conducted emissions. By attenuating switching-related interference on the bus side, it supports more stable operation of adjacent feedback, I/O, and low-voltage control circuits inside the same cabinet. Its construction includes terminal studs and an enclosed iron core, so it can be mounted close to the supply contactor without extra shielding.

Electrically, the module is sized for drive groups drawing up to 25 kW of real power from the mains. At that load, it can conduct a continuous current of 45 A without saturating the filter inductors. It is tuned for grid frequencies from 50 to 60 Hz, and the design tolerates frequency variation of ±2 Hz without detuning. Internal copper losses during steady operation are limited to 150 W, and this heat must be removed by cabinet airflow. This current capacity supports grouped drive arrangements in which multiple amplifiers share the same filtered supply path.

Additional losses appear once the connected inverters begin cycling under dynamic conditions. In that state, the filter dissipates 6.0 W/kW of motor power, and the worst-case heat generation reaches 300 W when fixed and variable losses are combined. This heat load should be considered when sizing fan trays or heat exchangers inside the panel. Despite that operating level, the unit weighs 22.2 kg, so it can be fastened to a backplate without structural reinforcement. The unit can also be mounted near the drive stack, which helps keep cable runs short and reduces stray inductance.
