These power supplies come with different ratings, making them compatible with various applications. HVE power supplies are feeding-type power supplies and are intended to be used in conjunction with the manufacturer’s DIAX04 range of HDD and HDS drive controllers in a drive system. They come integrated with power rectifiers to rectify the three-phase AC voltage and contactors to shut down the power. One power supply can be used in association with several drive controllers owing to the modular design of the drive system.

HVE power supplies support operation in generator mode. When the Indramat power supplies operate in generator mode, the regenerated energy gets dissipated as heat through a bleeder resistor. These power supplies help in the braking action of servomotors energized by permanent magnets by a short circuit bus when there is a fault in the drive electronics. They can be connected to motors with a maximum continuous mechanical power of 60 kW. The power supplies have a compact size because of their high DC bus voltage, and this makes them suitable for small space requirements. The signal lines of the power supplies are connected using plug-in terminals that make them easy to service. The Indramat HVE power supplies feature IP 10 degrees of protection as per IEC 529 / EN 60529 specifications. They are characterized by a control voltage output rating of 300 V and 500 VA power input with maximum load.

HVE power supplies are designed for operation at a temperature ranging between 5 °C and 45 °C and a maximum installation elevation of 1000 meters over sea level without power reduction. Their surfaces must always be free of condensation and dirt contamination.
