The HVE04.2-W075L/S201 is an HVE power supply unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HVE Power Supply Units series. It converts three-phase line energy into a stabilized DC bus that feeds multiple Indramat drive controllers, allowing coordinated axis motion in industrial automation cells. By providing controlled charging, internal braking, and auxiliary logic power, the module serves as the central energy interface for multi-axis systems. A shared DC bus also allows power flow between accelerating and decelerating axes within the same machine section.

The unit delivers a rated output of 75 kW. Mains apparent power is 500 VA at maximum load, while the converter section limits dissipation to 6 W per kW and has basic losses of 175 W, which helps reduce cabinet heat during continuous operation. A built-in air blower moves air across the internal heat sinks, so no external ducting is required and airflow remains contained inside the unit. During startup, the DC link reaches operating voltage within 6 s and accepts an inrush current of 14 A; this startup profile corresponds to design version 2. Excess regenerated energy is shunted to a resistor network that removes 2.5 kW continuously and withstands peaks of 270 kW, which helps prevent bus overvoltage during deceleration. This is useful in systems with frequent acceleration and braking cycles.

For short production peaks, the supply can source 105 kW to the common bus, supported by an internal capacitance of 3.75 mF and optional external capacitors up to 200 mF. It can also absorb 250 kWs of regenerated energy, and a separate 300 W secondary winding provides control-voltage power for downstream logic and I/O circuits. This separate control supply helps keep low-power control functions available within the drive system. The housing is 250 mm wide and weighs 28 kg, which helps keep the unit compact in multi-axis cabinets without taking excessive panel space. It belongs to the 04 hardware series, allowing direct placement beside other HVE components. The unit is suited for conveyor, printing, and packaging machines that rely on synchronized electric axes.
