Product Description:
The HVE04.2-W075 is an HVE power supply unit built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HVE Power Supply Units series. As part of hardware series 04, the module converts three-phase mains energy into a stabilized intermediate DC bus that feeds multiple Indramat drive controllers inside an automation cabinet. The stabilized bus allows several connected controllers to share one supply stage, while the integrated control-voltage section supports the electronics used throughout the drive system.
The supply is rated for 75 kW of continuous DC bus output and has an internal capacitance of 3.75 mF, which helps damp voltage ripple during rapid load changes. This stored energy helps keep the intermediate circuit stable when several axes accelerate at the same time. For short transients, the bus can deliver 105 kW. When higher surges occur, the storage bank can release a 35 A / 0.25 ms current pulse to each connected drive. This pulse reserve supports brief peak demand at the connected axes. Thermal limits are managed by internal air circulation with a built-in blower, and the enclosure has an IP10 rating. Overall basic losses are 175 W, which equals 6 W for every delivered kilowatt. The module has a maximum power input of 500 VA, reserves 300 W for control electronics, and fits 250 mm wide mounting frames without external cooling accessories.
Dynamic braking energy is absorbed by a bleeder circuit that handles 2.5 kW continuously and dissipates up to 270 kW in brief peaks, preventing overvoltage during deceleration. This reduces the risk of bus voltage rise when connected drives return energy during braking. The same path can store as much as 250 kWs of regenerated energy before dissipation, and it uses a 14 A average charging channel to protect the capacitor stack from overstress during repeated energy exchange. Design version 2 integrates diagnostic logic to supervise these functions in real time. The unit weighs 28 kg, which supports stable panel installation.
