The HVE02.2-W018N/S201 belongs to the Bosch Rexroth Indramat HVE Power Supply Units series and serves as the central DC-bus source for multiple drive controllers in an industrial automation rack. Version 2 of the design keeps compact proportions of 498 mm high, 100 mm wide, and 262 mm deep, so the unit fits standard 300 mm deep cabinets. A built-in air blower forces cooling air across the heat sinks, eliminating the need for external fans. Installation uses 6 mm² line terminals protected by a 35 A mains fuse, and the unit's bleeder network can absorb up to 70 kWs of regenerated energy during braking cycles.

The supply delivers a continuous DC-link capability of 18 kW, allowing several axis inverters to run simultaneously without derating. Its control electronics draw only 500 VA from the mains, keeping logic power separate from the drive feed. At the standard 400 V input, the converter transfers 13 kW to the bus under steady load, while a short-time rating of 25 kW supports acceleration peaks. During such peaks the mains current can reach 28 A, a value that affects upstream conductor sizing. Excess regenerative energy is dumped through a bleeder chain rated for 1 kW continuously and 100 kW for brief intervals to guard against overvoltage.

Complementing the main power channel, the supply provides a logic rail of 300 W, ensuring PLC interfaces and diagnostic modules remain energized even when the drives are idle. Energy storage on the bus is fixed at 0.8 mF inside the housing, and installations that need longer braking intervals can connect up to 10 mF of external capacitance through the front terminals. Despite these reserves, the enclosure weighs only 13 kg, which helps keep handling manageable during installation. No auxiliary options are fitted, so the unit keeps the standard HVE cabinet footprint.
