Product Description:
The HNL05.1R-0542-N0152-N-A5-NNNF is a three-phase mains choke from the HNL Mains Chokes series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed between a power supply module and its connected drive system, the choke adds inductive impedance that smooths line current, limits inrush, and decreases conducted harmonics. By reducing current ripple, it helps protect both the upstream power electronics and the downstream servo axes from voltage spikes that can appear during energy feedback events common to decelerating loads.
Rated for a continuous load current of 152 A, the coil can carry the full converter output without magnetic saturation during prolonged motoring or energy-return operation. The nominal inductance is 542 µH, which sets the choke’s impedance and helps attenuate high-frequency components on the supply line. Connection is intended for three-phase AC networks, so the core and winding geometry are arranged for balanced phase coupling. Heat produced by copper losses is removed through liquid cooling, which channels water across an internal jacket to maintain a stable winding temperature and extend insulation life. Under rated conditions, the choke dissipates 1000 W of power, a value used when sizing the cooling circuit and checking cabinet ventilation.
The enclosure has a protection level of IP00, so it must be mounted inside a grounded panel that provides physical shielding from contact and debris. With a mass of 60 kg, the choke requires a rigid base plate and suitable lifting equipment during installation. The unit is Design Version 1, which uses the current winding layout and terminal spacing for IndraDrive power supplies. The intended supply system is regenerative, so the choke is suitable for presses, centrifuges, and other cyclic loads that regularly feed power back onto the mains.
