Product Description:
The HNL05.1R-0135-N0327-N-A4-NNNW is a line-side reactor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the HNL Mains Chokes series. Inserted ahead of regenerative drive inverters, the choke increases the source impedance so that inrush currents are damped and high-frequency harmonics are suppressed. By stabilizing the current drawn from the supply system, it protects both the converter stage and upstream switchgear in automated production cells where energy flows bidirectionally. This behavior is especially useful on systems that cycle repeatedly between acceleration and braking during normal operation.
The electrical profile centers on a nominal current of 327 A, making the choke suitable for medium-power multi-axis drives. The choke has a nominal inductance of 135 µH, and this value helps smooth the AC waveform while limiting di/dt during regeneration. The integrated auxiliary circuit accepts an AC switching voltage up to 250 V and a DC switching voltage up to 24 V, allowing the built-in thermal switch to interface with common control relays. When that switch is activated, it can carry up to 1 A, and the contact is arranged as normally closed so a break in the control loop signals an overtemperature event. All auxiliary hardware follows design version 1 of the series, and the choke is intended for regenerative supply systems without additional options.
Continuous service is permitted up to 40 °C ambient, while a winding trigger temperature of 160 °C opens the normally closed contact to force a controlled shutdown. Because the housing carries an ingress rating of IP00, the unit must be mounted inside a protected enclosure with established airflow. Total mass is 58 kg, so the installation must provide secure bracketing and adequate vibration support. The open housing also requires proper guarding to prevent accidental contact with energized parts. Its layout supports use in cabinets where regenerative drives return braking energy to the mains.
