Product Description:
The HNL05.1R-0135-N0327-N-A4-NNNF is a mains choke produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HNL Mains Chokes series. In a regenerative supply system, it is wired between the converter and the power grid to store energy magnetically and attenuate line spikes that arise during switching events, supporting stable drive behavior in industrial automation cells. The unit’s function is limited to inductive filtering, and no additional options are configured, which simplifies installation and cabinet layout. Because it is a passive magnetic component, it does not perform power conversion or active regulation on its own.
This choke is liquid cooled, and normal service requires a water flow greater than 6 l/min through its internal channels. At the standard 7 l/min rate, the hydraulic circuit imposes only 0.32 bar of pressure drop, so pump sizing remains modest. The core presents a nominal inductance of 135 µH, while its windings carry up to 327 A of continuous current without saturation. When operated in air only, thermal losses reach 900 W, so liquid circulation is used to keep the coil temperature within the 40 °C ambient limit and protect the normally closed temperature contact integrated in the winding package. The cooling circuit removes heat directly from the assembly instead of relying only on surrounding air.
For water operation, the dissipation ceiling rises to 1700 W, a level supported by a coolant jacket that holds 1.6 l of fluid and keeps the copper below the 160 °C trigger point of the thermal switch. Protection against accidental contact is limited to the IP00 rating, so the choke must be mounted inside an enclosed panel. Design version 1 also includes a switching contact rated at 1 A, 250 VAC, or 24 VDC for over-temperature signaling, and the contact opens when the winding exceeds the preset threshold. The assembly weighs 58 kg, which should be considered when planning panel support and handling.
