Product Description:
The HNL01.1R-0180-N0065-A-480-S125 is a passive line reactor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and grouped within the HNL Mains Chokes series. Installed between a plant supply network and the front end of drive converters, it adds inductance that limits harmonic distortion, lowers inrush current, and smooths the current demanded by regenerative servo systems. By increasing input inductance, the reactor reduces steep current edges that can otherwise stress rectifier sections and increase distortion on shared plant feeders. This function helps protect upstream protective devices and supports stable power quality inside control cabinets. It is well suited for drive systems that cycle between motoring operation and energy recovery during frequent acceleration and braking.
The choke supports a nominal line range of 3 x AC 400–480 V, and it remains functional when the mains varies by -15/+10%. It operates on 50/60 Hz utility power, allowing the same unit to serve European and North American facilities. A cabinet slot with a minimum ingress rating of IP10 is adequate because the windings are air-cooled and do not require a sealed housing. Open mounting also allows heat from the magnetic core to dissipate directly into cabinet airflow. When connected ahead of a regenerative drive stack, the added impedance damps current transients sent back to the grid and helps keep DC-link voltage within safe limits during braking cycles.
The choke corresponds to version 1 of the mechanical design, so mounting dimensions and terminal orientation match the first release drawings. The first mechanical design release keeps installation geometry consistent with the established housing layout for this model. No supplementary thermal sensors, fuses, or filters are fitted, which keeps the wiring arrangement straightforward. The absence of extra accessories means external protection and monitoring are handled by the surrounding power system rather than by the choke itself. Internally it follows series code 01, which corresponds to the winding factor and core geometry used for this line.
