Product Description:
The HNL01.1R-0130-N0450-A-480-NNNN mains choke is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the HNL Mains Chokes series. In drive lines that return braking energy to the mains, a mains choke sits between the three-phase network and the power converter to curb inrush current, smooth line current, and limit high-frequency harmonics that would otherwise travel back to the plant supply. This model is sized for medium-power automation panels and is intended to operate inside an enclosed cabinet where it supports inverters that return braking energy to the grid. By reducing distortion on the incoming line, it helps the connected drive system draw power more smoothly during acceleration and deceleration.
Electrical compatibility centers on a nominal line of 3 × AC 400–480 V. The coil tolerates supply variation of -15/+10% and works with grid frequencies of 50/60 Hz, so it maintains consistent inductive reactance in both 50 Hz and 60 Hz systems without rewinding. Its enclosure has a protection level of IP10, providing finger-safe coverage while relying on the surrounding cabinet for dust and liquid protection. The unit is design version 1, which identifies the first mechanical layout used for this power class. Because the housing is intended for cabinet installation, higher external protection must be supplied by the enclosure around it.
The unit is part of code 01, so it integrates directly with regenerative converters that return surplus kinetic energy to the mains instead of dissipating it in braking resistors. It comes in the base configuration, with no factory-installed temperature sensors, fuse links, or terminal hoods added to the standard build. That arrangement keeps the mechanical form unchanged for this rating. External monitoring and added protection, when needed, are handled by the surrounding system.
