The HNL01.1E-0370-N0125-A-480-NNNN mains choke belongs to the HNL Mains Chokes series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed between the plant supply and frequency converters, the unit limits inrush current and attenuates harmonics so connected drives see lower peak stress and reduced electromagnetic interference. It also improves the displacement power factor of the upstream network by adding inductance that smooths current waveforms during motor acceleration and regenerative braking. By reducing the steepness of current draw at the converter input, it helps moderate stress on upstream switching devices and line components. This behavior is useful where multiple drives share a common supply and line quality must remain more stable during changing load conditions.
Its enclosure has a protection rating of IP10, which means the windings are guarded from large objects while still allowing ventilation for natural cooling.
