Product Description:
The HNL01.1E-0230-N0230-N-690-NNNN is a three-phase mains choke produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HNL Mains Chokes series. Installed between the utility grid and a DC-link converter, the choke's inductance limits line current rise time and reduces harmonics created by switching drives. By smoothing the input waveform, it lowers stress on connected inverters, supports better power factor, and helps attached servo and spindle drives operate with reduced line disturbance in industrial automation cabinets. Its line-side placement makes it a passive interface between the plant supply and the converter input stage.
It is built as an open-frame unit with a degree of protection of IP00, so live parts must be covered by the machine or cabinet enclosure rather than by the choke itself. The coil connects to supplies from 3 x AC 380 V -15% to 3 x AC 690 V +10%, allowing one size to cover common low-voltage plant networks. This model is design version 1 and is intended for feeding applications, receiving grid power and delivering conditioned current to the DC bus. The unit comes with no additional options, so it is supplied without added items such as thermal sensors or special varnish coatings. Because of the open construction, it is intended for installation inside a protected cabinet rather than for exposed use.
Within the product family, the unit belongs to series 01, so its mounting and terminal arrangement follow the first generation of this design. It integrates directly with compatible converters and regenerative modules that use the same drive platform, which keeps the line-side connection scheme straightforward. In cabinet installations, the choke helps moderate input current peaks seen by upstream supply equipment when the connected converter switches under load. This supports more stable operation on shared plant feeders where several drive components draw power from the same three-phase source.
