Product Description:
The HNL01.1E-0060-N0475-N-690-NNNN is a three-phase mains choke developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HNL Mains Chokes series. In an automation cabinet, the choke is installed between the plant power supply and connected drives to damp current peaks, reduce harmonic distortion, and protect input rectifiers from line transients. By adding series inductance, it smooths the incoming waveform so servo inverters and converters operate with lower ripple current and improved electromagnetic compatibility. That behavior helps stabilize the electrical supply seen by connected power electronics during normal acceleration and regeneration cycles.
It is intended for utility feeds from 3 x AC 380 V -15% to 3 x AC 690 V +10%, which allows use across a wide range of industrial three-phase networks. In Design Version 1, the unit uses the initial layout identified as Series 01. Its terminals connect to a feeding supply system, so power flows from the mains toward the drive bus. The assembly has an IP00 protection class, which means the windings and core are open and must be installed inside a suitable enclosure. Because the choke is connected ahead of the drive input, enclosure installation is necessary to prevent accidental contact with energized parts.
The unit is supplied in a standard configuration without added mechanical or thermal options, so external fusing and airflow arrangements can be selected to match the cabinet design. Its open construction should be placed with adequate clearance from nearby heat sources so the choke can dissipate heat during operation. This arrangement works well in cabinets that already use separate protective devices and planned airflow paths. It also leaves system-level protection and ventilation choices to the surrounding equipment rather than the choke itself.
