Product Description:
The HNF05.1A-500N-R0320-N-A4-NNNN is a line-side mains filter built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HNF Mains Filters series, design version 1. Installed between a regenerative drive package and the plant supply, it attenuates conducted emissions so the connected inverter can return energy without disturbing adjacent equipment. The filter is intended for supply systems dedicated to regenerative devices only, and its performance is qualified under EMC Category C3 in accordance with DIN EN 61800-3. This arrangement helps limit noise that would otherwise travel back onto the mains and affect nearby electrical equipment.
This filter has a protection class of IP00, so it must be mounted in an enclosed cabinet where accidental contact is prevented. Its busbars carry up to 320 A of nominal current while handling mains connection voltages from 3 x AC 380 V -15% to 500 V +10% at the standard industrial frequency of 50/60 Hz. Internally, the damping network presents a total leakage capacitance of 500 nF to shunt high-frequency noise back to the source. The common-mode inductors are sized for a nominal system voltage of 690/400 V, and the internal layout supports stable attenuation across the rated operating range.
During normal operation, the enclosure releases a leakage current below 905 mA, a value that must be considered when sizing ground conductors. Thermal losses are limited to 36 W at rated load, and the winding set has a DC resistance of 67 µΩ, which helps minimize voltage drop between the supply and the drive group. The assembly weighs 21 kg, allowing straightforward panel integration without requiring unusual mounting provisions. These electrical and mechanical values make the unit suitable for regenerative installations where controlled mains-side filtering is required.
