This passive line component is installed between the utility supply and a regenerative drive package. Because it is a passive device, it remains in the incoming power path during normal operation and does not require its own control logic. In automated machinery, it attenuates high-frequency harmonics produced by inverter switching and provides a low-impedance path for energy recovered during dynamic braking, preventing voltage spikes at the service entrance. By limiting conducted noise, it helps servo axes comply with plant-wide interference emission targets.

The filter carries an IP00 degree of protection, which means its busbars remain uncovered and the unit must be housed inside a closed panel. Its continuous conduction capability is 250 A, supporting sizable drive groups without excess temperature rise or noticeable insertion loss. The supply system is for regenerative devices only, so the filter should be paired exclusively with converters that can return energy to the mains. That operating restriction matters in systems where braking energy is routinely returned to the supply rather than dissipated locally.
