Product Description:
The HNF05.1A-500N-R0150-N-A5-NNNN is a three-phase mains filter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HNF Mains Filters series. The device is installed on the supply side of regenerative drive controllers to attenuate conducted emissions and to shape the return energy that flows back to the utility line during braking. By limiting high-frequency noise, the filter supports plant-wide electromagnetic compatibility targets and helps protect upstream switchgear in industrial automation cells.
The filter carries a continuous line current of 150 A, so it can remain in series with large inverter stacks without becoming a thermal bottleneck. Its permissible input spans 380 V -15 % to 690 V +10 %, which covers common low-voltage industrial grids worldwide. Connection is made to a 3 x AC network, ensuring that all three phases are processed symmetrically rather than through single-phase chokes. A built-in capacitance of 500 nF draws differential-mode noise away from the mains while keeping displacement current within predictable limits. Internal wound components dissipate at most 28 W under rated load, which sets cabinet ventilation requirements and keeps power loss low within the drive system.
The housing is open-frame with a protection level of IP00, so it must be mounted inside an enclosed control cabinet. Electromagnetic behavior is classified as C3 according to DIN EN 61800-3, aligning it with equipment for industrial power environments rather than public utilities. The mass of 13 kg affects panel support calculations when the filter is fastened to backplates or busbar structures. The design is intended for regenerative devices only, which means its impedance and damping are tuned for bidirectional power flow. It is released as internal version 1, marking the first execution within the 05 design line.
