Within a drive cabinet, it sits between the public supply and the power section of Indramat inverters, where it attenuates conducted interference and supports the return of excess energy from regenerative drives. Its position ahead of the drive group reduces switching noise seen by the incoming line and helps keep the DC bus stable during braking or energy recovery cycles.
