The unit draws three-phase mains energy and converts it into a stable high-voltage DC link for multiple inverters inside an IndraDrive cabinet. This arrangement centralizes power distribution for the drive group and keeps DC-link energy available to each axis module in the cabinet.

Cooling is handled by an internal air path with an integrated blower that directs airflow across heat sinks. During dynamic stops, the integrated brake chopper can absorb up to 90 kW of instantaneous power and hold a total of 100 kWs in the storage bank before its limit is reached. For continuous deceleration cycles, the permanent dissipation threshold is 0.4 kW, so the operating duty must stay within that thermal range during repeated braking events. The supply electronics themselves draw only 41 W, which helps limit cabinet heat rise when the power stage is idle. This is useful in dense control cabinets where neighboring modules also contribute heat during operation. The enclosure measures 440 mm in height, 250 mm in width, and 309 mm in depth, and its 20 kg mass fits standard panel mounting arrangements in industrial cabinets.
