Product Description:
The HMV01.1R-W0018 is a Bosch Rexroth Indramat supply module in the HMV IndraDrive Supply Units series. As an HMV supply unit, it conditions three-phase input power and forms the DC bus that feeds multiple IndraDrive inverters, allowing coordinated motion axes to share energy. This arrangement allows several axes to draw from a common energy source and exchange regenerated energy across the shared bus. Within an automation cabinet, it serves as a regenerative front end that returns excess kinetic energy to the power line instead of dissipating it as heat.
The unit can dissipate braking heat continuously at 0.4 kW and tolerate short bursts up to 36 kW; these values work with its 80 kWs braking energy rating when deceleration cycles are evaluated. Internal logic and I/O are supported by a 24 V DC control supply, which keeps the electronics separate from the power path. Motor-side drives receive a stiff DC link held at 750 V DC, so inverter output voltage remains above motor back EMF even at high speed. Heat is removed by internal air cooling with an integrated blower, so no external fan ducting is required.
For continuous motoring, the supply outputs 18 kW, and its DC link can absorb or deliver peak power to inverters up to 45 kW without tripping. The energy buffer behind that capability is the 0.705 mF DC-bus capacitor assembly, which reduces ripple and supports ride-through during brief line dips. It also helps stabilize the shared bus during rapid load changes when several axes accelerate or decelerate at the same time. Line connection current reaches up to 26 A at rated load, and standby demand is only 31 W, which helps limit panel heating when the unit is idle. The enclosure is rated IP20, making it suitable for installation in indoor control cabinets. The device is design version 1 and series version 01, and it uses a regenerative power-supply configuration that channels recovered energy back to the plant power system.
