The HMV01.1E-W0120 belongs to the HMV IndraDrive Supply Units series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It is an HMV supply unit that converts three-phase mains power into a regulated DC bus and provides controlled braking energy for multiple IndraDrive inverters on the same link. Within an automation cabinet, it functions as the central energy interface, delivering stabilized bus voltage while absorbing regenerative energy from decelerating servo axes. This arrangement allows several connected axes to share one supply source and return excess energy to the same DC link.
This model supplies up to 120 kW of continuous output power and can draw a mains current of 200 A under rated conditions. During routine deceleration cycles, it dissipates 2.5 kW of brake power continuously, yet it can momentarily handle a peak of 130 kW to protect the DC link from overvoltage. A storage capacitance of 5,640 µF smooths bus ripple so the connected drives receive a steady voltage even when load changes are abrupt. The unit is configured as a fed power supply and uses internal air cooling with an integrated blower to move heat away from the power semiconductors. Design version 1 and series version 01 identify the initial IndraDrive release.
