Energy dissipation helps in maintaining the dc bus voltage level of the system. The HLT05.1 brake chopper comes with an air cooling option and it uses surrounding air for maintaining the temperature of the unit. The model dissipates 45 kW of power during continuous operation and the unit faces a power loss of 250 W. The maximum energy dissipated by the unit is approximately 85 kW with a cycle time of 60 seconds. The model comes with an easy mounting option and the net weight of the brake chopper is 7.5 kg.
