The HLR01.1N-05K0-N15R0-A-007-NNNN is a brake resistor designed by Bosch Rexroth AG for a broad range of industrial applications. During the servo motor's deceleration, the reduction in kinetic energy generates an electric voltage which flows back into the servo drive's power circuit. The HLR01.1N-05K0-N15R0-A-007-NNNN brake resistor helps the servo drive to regulate the voltage coming into the power circuit by absorbing the excess voltage and converting it into thermal energy. This thermal energy is then safely dissipated away from the machine through the silts present on the abrupt end of the resistor's housing. The HLR01.1N-05K0-N15R0-A-007-NNNN covers a wide range of continuous power and energy absorption capacity.

The HLR01.1N-05K0-N15R0-A-007-NNNN brake resistor delivers a continuous output of 5.0kilowatts. It also has a DC bus voltage of 700 volts. The nominal breaking resistance of the brake resistor is 15.0 Ohms. The braking resistor's continuous power and the braking resistor's peak power are 5.00 and 40.00 kilowatts. The maximum regenerative power that is absorbed by the braking resistor during operation is around 360 kilowatts. The HLR01.1N-05K0-N15R0-A-007-NNNN brake resistor should be installed directly above the servo drive with enough space between the two devices. This installation arrangement simplifies the installation work and, at the same time, utilizes the servo drive's extracted airflow as an effective cooling system. The brake resistor is produced in accordance with the IP20  IEC 60529 degree of protection. Before delivery, the brake resistors are repeatedly tested to ensure they are safe for industrial use. However, to prevent industrial accidents or machine malfunction, installation and operation of the brake resistor should be in accordance with the resistor's documentation instructions.
