Product Description:
The HLC01.2C-01M0-A-007-NNNN capacitor module is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HLC Capacitor Modules series. It functions as an energy-storage element on the DC link of an IndraDrive or similar servo inverter system, stabilizing the intermediate circuit voltage during load changes and returning recovered braking energy to the bus. By buffering charge, the unit reduces peak current draw from the rectifier, supports reliable operation of multiple drives connected to the same supply rail, and helps keep the shared bus stable during simultaneous axis acceleration or deceleration in industrial automation cells.
Its DC bus is rated for 700 VDC, and the module offers a nominal capacitance of 1 mF, so it can absorb transient energy and smooth voltage ripple on high-power axes. An RMS input current limit of 15 A sets the permissible charging and discharging current through the internal foil stacks. Under continuous duty, the unit dissipates only 4.10 W, a value low enough for passive thermal management, so cooling is achieved by natural convection without external fans. Two DC bus terminals permit straightforward series or parallel wiring. After shutdown, the internal bleeder network reduces the bus to 50 V in 238 s, but the unit should remain untouched for 30 minutes so residual charge inside the dielectric can equalize.
The housing carries the finger-safe IP20 protection type and weighs just 2.2 kg, minimizing cabinet load while still providing a rigid frame for the capacitor banks. Electrical fastening uses a control screw size of M6 for the main terminals, and the protective earth connects to an M5 ground thread that must be tightened to 5 Nm to maintain a low-impedance fault-current path. This layout suits compact servo drive panels where power electronics and control hardware share limited cabinet space.
