Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the HLC01.1C-02M4-A-007-NNNN, a capacitor module in the HLC Capacitor Modules series. Installed on the DC link of IndraDrive and similar platforms, the module buffers regenerative energy so the common bus voltage remains constant during dynamic acceleration or braking. By absorbing transient current peaks from the supply, it helps extend converter life and keeps automation components within their rated limits in production equipment. It is intended for integration inside control cabinets and operates without active switching components, relying on its internal electrolytic capacitor bank.
The electrical working window spans 254...750 V DC, allowing the module to share a common bus with low- and medium-voltage drives. Its energy reservoir measures 2.4 mF, so the stored charge can deliver short bursts of current to stabilize the link whenever loads reverse. Under steady ambient conditions, it tolerates up to 50 A of ripple current at 55 °C, while self-heating is limited to a loss of 16.5 W. After power removal, the internal discharge circuitry reduces the terminal voltage to a safe level within 274 s, meeting service access requirements. Natural convection is the cooling method, so no fans are required. The steel housing is 50 mm wide and 251.5 mm deep, fitting shallow enclosures.
High dielectric quality is shown by an insulation resistance greater than 25 MΩ, helping the DC bus stay free of leakage currents during long duty cycles. For wiring, terminal lugs accept conductors no smaller than 10 mm², and the permissible cable run between the module and the drive is limited to 2 m to keep inductive spikes low. The rectangular enclosure rises to 352 mm and weighs only 4.3 kg, so it can be panel-mounted without heavy support brackets. Its compact form suits passively cooled energy buffering in multi-axis control cabinets.
