The HDD2.1-W040N-HD12-01-FW is a dual-axis drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HDD Drive Controllers series. This module supplies regulated power and closed-loop control to synchronous or induction servo motors, allowing coordinated motion sequences in automated production cells, material-handling lines, and packaging machinery. By combining power electronics, axis feedback processing, and a fiber-optic command channel in one enclosure, the device forms the central element between a machine’s PLC and its servo actuators.

Each axis can deliver a continuous current of 15 A/axis when the inverter is clocked at 4 kHz; at 8 kHz the continuous capability is limited to 10 A/axis. For short acceleration bursts, the amplifier supplies up to 40 A/axis, giving machines the torque reserve needed for rapid indexing.
