The HDD12.2-W040N is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HDD Drive Controllers series. It forms the central power and control interface between a supply module and up to two servo motors, so it regulates torque and velocity commands in industrial automation lines that demand coordinated multi-axis motion. Because power conversion and axis control are combined in one housing, the unit links incoming drive power with the motor currents required for precise movement. This makes it suitable for synchronized positioning, transfer, and speed-controlled processes where two servo axes must respond quickly to changing load conditions.

This model delivers a continuous output of 40 A, allowing the connected axes to accelerate and decelerate without derating at their rated loads. Thermal management is handled by an integrated blower that provides internal air cooling with a built-in blower, eliminating the need for external ductwork inside a cabinet whose ambient air remains between +5 °C and +45 °C. Power is supplied by an HVE or HVR supply module that furnishes the DC link voltage and manages regenerative energy.
